A little planning makes move-in day smooth and stress free. Use this checklist to stay on track.
Two weeks before
Book movers or a truck, schedule internet and electricity to start on your move-in date and update your address with the post office.
The week of your move
Pack an essentials box with chargers, toiletries, a change of clothes, basic tools, paper towels and snacks. Label every box by room.
On move-in day
Pick up your keys, walk through your home and note anything that needs attention. Take photos of each room for your records.
After you move in
Set up your resident portal account for rent payments and service requests, then test smoke detectors and locate the breaker panel.
